Talk to your Doctor. I have high blood pressure too, coriciden HBP is the only thing my doctor will let me take as far as pills. Ziacom has a good nasal spray and Vicks on the chest always works. Also crank up the hot water in the sink cover your head and sink with a towel and breath in as much steam as you can.

I have high blood pressure and when it comes to taking over the counter medicine I wouldn't ask the general public. Call your doctor, go to the store and while you're there ask the pharmacist. You need to ask your doctor what drugs you should avoid and be sure that you read labels. You don't know if taking suggestions from strangers that aren't qualified doctors will cause more harm to you that could be serious or fatal. Your doctor may even be able to prescribe something for you.

guarenteed remedy for head colds, no medication needed.
Take a pan of water and sea salts and heat it to boiling. TURN OFF THE FIRE, and drape a towel over your head and put your face as close to the hot water and you can stand it. You will break out in a sweat, thats ok.
Now, breath in through your mouth and out through you nose
Keep the steam so hot you are only just able to stand it. Keep breathing in and out for 15 minutes or so.
Then, when you take the towel off, voila, your head will feel better. No medicine involved.

I have high blood pressure also, that if treated. It is very important before I take anything like that to check with the pharmacy. They can tell you which medications are a no-no with your condition.

Zicam nasal swabs will help cure that cold quickly, it will also help a bit with nasal congestion. Depending on how well controlled your blood pressure is with your current medicine, you may be able to use a product containing phenylephrine, (it is psuedaphedrine that you need to avoid) read labels, consult your pharmacist.

Call your pharmacist or the Nurse Direct agency in your area. You could also ring up your physician and ask his nurse too.
