I ,yself was just dianosed with diabetes 2 months ago. Beofre I had to use insulin I was on diabetes medicine and I could not take it I was sick for 3 weeks could not hold nothing down and lost weight and was really really weak. I went into the hospital I was on medicine for about 2 months and come to find out the medicine was not working so they put me on two types of insulin. I have to take the novology three times a day and the lantus just before I go to bed at night time. You do not have to change your life style at all. I have been doing lots and lots of reading about diabetes. The only thing you would have to change is the way that you eat that is the only thing. Before I went into the hospital I was so weak that I messed my 2 granddaughters birthday party and I did lots of crying. Now I feel better. I am 5-5 and about the same weight range as you. SO no you do not have to change your life style at all beleive me when I say that. I have done lots of research on it. The only thing I have to do is carry my insulin with me every where I go when I leave my home. I have two granddaughters and I play with them and have them even spend the night with me I love having them around and I also have a dog and I do lots of walking with my dog. No just act like you do not have the diabetes just watch what you eat and take your blood sugar test to. I hope this really helps you.

Diabetes is NOT the death sentence it used to be. It's all a matter of MAINTAINING. You will actually now get a lot healthier than you were before. Do a self-evaluation. What are you putting in your mouth? You will have to drop some foods and drinks--but they were the ones that were bad for you anyhow.
Keep the calories down, and carbs down, get exercise--
monitor your glucose EVERYDAY. That tells you whether you
are maintaining-or not.

I was diagnosed with pre-diabetes and like everyone else--
I felt it was over for me. Then I decided this disease was
something I did not want--I asked my doctor for 2 months to
turn myself around, using diet and exercise and some good
supplements. I'm happy to say that I WON!!! I test about
3 times per week and it's under control.

You may need to begin medication--but please don't feel
the meds are curing you. The meds are keeping you alive-
It's you knowing exactly how to control this disease and
DOING IT. The magazine "Diabetes" is a great help---
and every hospital has education and support groups for
Diabetes. Every County has a Diabetes dietician. Attend
those meetings!

I have one friend with diabetes for 55 years. She's still
doing well. I have another man friend who is very casual
about his diabetes and taking his insulin. He has gone into
shock about 5 times now, and one will be the end of him...
but he's 85 years old anyhow. soooooo-

I'm a 45 year old woman and was recently diagnosed as being a borderline diabetic. My doctor prescribed some medication, but before filling it I decided to do some research on the internet which led me to the methods. After reading this ebook and applying the methods, my scepticism turned to 100% belief. I noticed that my energy levels increased significantly and I felt more rested in the morning, my symptoms started going away.

I am very happy to tell you that I have been feeling better than I have felt in years and my doctor informed me that he will be taking me off my prescriptions if I keep this up.

I recommend you use the Type 2 Diabetes Destroyer to naturally reverse your diabetes.

You didn't mention what your lifestyle is .How can we tell if you need to change it ?

Please make sure you are seeing a great endocrinologist, take diabetes education classes, read everything written about diabetes in the past five years, do not believe that an OTC herbal remedy will do anything but rob you of your money and finally talk to a dietitian and find out what foods work best for you and the lifestyle you choose.
Good luck and welcome to the world of diabetes !

Sorry to hear, but there is hope, and you could also start now giving the correct nutrition for your boys, so they will have a lesser chance of getting diabetes. Check out this website, they have certified organic, custom made supplements, they are tested metabolically. There is a lady that has type 2 for 12yrs now and she first controlled diabetes with her diet, and medicine, then had to start taking insulin, doc told her that she would be on these the rest of her life. Seven weeks after she started taking the customized supplements her insulin intake had to be adjusted down twice, and not only that she was taken of her kidney, and liver medications. It is worth checking this web out !! Good Luck!!!!

I don't know what your lifestyle is, but most likely it could use some fine tuning like most people. Eating a balanced diet is a huge start, as well as limiting your carbs and sugars and eating less processed food. Getting plenty of exercise will help too. Having 3 boys is tiring I am sure, but try to get in some alone time exercise so you know you are getting enough. Also, ask your doctor about the possibility of seeing a nutritionist so you can get your entire family on a better diet. It's never too early to teach your children to eat better. Best wishes.

Piece of cake. Get your weight down, eat right, and exercise... A LOT. The alternative makes this decision easy. Read my diabetes info page, check out some of the links, get the Diabetes Improvement Program book, and enjoy your new lifestyle. In a few months, you'll wonder why you didn't do this a long time ago... you'll feel great. It really works.
