I am addicted to sushi. I prefer the rice on the outside and seaweed on the inner part. I LOVE ebi, that is the shrimp on a chunk of rice. I also love the salmon and california rolls. ISushi I don't like is eel.. yuck.. never even tasted it however alot of people do like it.

I love sushi! I also love sashimi with rice. I am not a particularly adventurous sushi eater any more and pretty much stick to the basics such as maguro, crab, smoked salmon with cream cheese, and yellow-fin. Also, love the dipping sauce with more wasabi than soy....makes my nose run but my heart happy!

I love Yen Chin's in Reno!

Nigiri-zushi (, lit. two-cut or hand-formed sushi). Arguably the most typical form of sushi at restaurants, it consists of an oblong mound of sushi rice which is pressed between the palms of the hands, with a speck of wasabi and a thin slice of a topping (neta) draped over it, possibly bound with a thin band of nori.

Assembling nigiri-zushi is surprisingly difficult to do well. It is sometimes called Edomaezushi, which reflects its origins in Edo (present-day Tokyo) in the 18th century. It is often served two to an order.
Gunkan-maki (, lit. warship roll). A special type of nigiri-zushi: an oval, hand-formed clump of sushi rice (similar to that of nigiri-zushi) that has a strip of nori wrapped around its perimeter to form a vessel that is filled with the topping. The topping is typically some soft ingredient that requires the confinement of the nori, for example, roe, natto, or (a contemporary fusion) macaroni salad. The gunkan-maki was invented at Kyubei restaurant (est. 1932) in Ginza and its invention significantly expanded the repertoire of soft toppings used in sushi.

There are all types of sushi....I love most of it. If you like rice, and fish and soy flavor, you might try it. You can order raw or cooked. I do not suggest jellyfish, though. There are many types of fish, shellfish, and vegetables..also, it is good for you, low fat, and DIFFERENT. I have never seen it served on tofu.

I dislike sushi---flavor too blah, texture too sticky. What is the attraction?
