eutychusagain, you won't believe this... many of my students have an irregular heart beat pattern, and at the same time they have a high bodyfat %, I must convince them to have a medical check before they work out again... thanks anyway

That depends on the arrhythmia and on the nature and the extent of the CAD.

Generally, if CAD has progressed to the point of arrhythmia, the patient (he should be if he isn't yet) must seek medical counsel. If the CAD is not yet severe enough for surgical intervention, and if the arrhythmias are not life-threatening, then lifestyle changes must be begun, and an exercise program (under a doctor's supervision) perhaps should be begun.

However, depending on the arrhythmia, exercise might not be an option until medical help has improved his condition.

But light aerobic activities by themselves will not help without lifestyle changes and medical intervention.
