I also am using the medtronic insulin pump for management, would that have any adverse effects?

Yes, I'm type 1 and I can give blood but they have to have a doctor's note saying it is ok for you to do so.

If you are just taking the
oral medications, or using
an insulin, that is not of the
beef sourse type.
