Technically, no. However, someone may lie and say they are a virgin and be affected without showing symptoms. It is possible that someone may have warts or sores where you cannot see them.

some STI's are a bacteria that can in fact live outside of a human host. chances are minimal however it is possible to be a virgin and have or carry these bacterias.. some other STI's are passed on more ways than just sexual contact, like cold sores is a type of STI which is transmitted without necessarily having sex. Or the use of contaminated needles.. so the true answer to the question is YES.. unlikely but yes

Some disease can be transmitted sexually even if the first person didn't get it from a sexual encounter so you have to be careful....an example is hepatitis which can be an STD or from other things. There are so many diseases that it is always best to get tested before you have sexual contact (both partners should go together).
