My neighbor's house is directly 15 feet to the west of my house. He is tenting his house tomorrow for termites. The fumigant is Vikane.
I spoke to the pest control company, and of course they told us that vikane is safe. But I know that it paralyzes the nervous system of the termites and it also kills plants by blocking their respiration. So what should I do, check into a hotel for three days with Mom? or what? Worry myself to death?

Check this link out, this scares me too. I think to be on the safe side I would consider a motel for at least one day for you and mom. now the only other problem is if all those critters that escape don't wind up at your house, happened to me when I lived in California when my neighbor decided to fumigate,
I had to get one of those gallon spray jugs and spray the lawn with a pesticide between our houses.
