My little guy is 7 months old, but since 8 weeks he has had constant chest infections and weekly high fevers. I take him to the Dr. and the ER weekly and they can't seem to come up with an anser. Finally last week someone mentioned that he could be inhaling reflux into his lungs, and giving him the constant infection, is this something that is common? I am tired of getting the horrible looks every time I take him to the hospital with the high fever, but what else can I do?

Yes it is a common problem. My 18 month old has severe reflux. He is on adult doses of prevacid and axid for it right now and has been since he was 3 months old. He was admitted to the hospital 15 times for recurrent respirtory infections and pnemonias.

if you need to see more about children/infant reflux go to this site: www.infantrefluxdisease.com its an online support group for family members of children with this issue.. and on the frront page of the website it gives you a ton of info on symptoms, etc

concept porridge and oatmeal were an same ingredient? besides its no longer really a superior theory to grant slightly one crisps. truthfully carrot sticks could be ok (if he's teething, my son love chomping on stuff) yet there is not any dietary fee in crisps and doubtless an outstanding form of salt or sugar in them. White chocolate also isn't some thing you opt for to be giving him on a daily basis. Fruit is fantastic,(no matter if i became advised to steer away from citrus and berry culmination so no to strawberries) yet he would not seem ingesting that a lot round lunch time, only a yoghurt? Does he have milk quite? Its all dependant on how a lot formulation/milk he's getting because if it truly is filling him up, a yoghurt is fantastic. besides the indisputable fact that the numerous target at this age is to introduce a)different or extra lumpy textures, and b) the social placing of "ingesting" so them being on the table, or being with you at the same time as having a meal. I never really loved the jar ingredients, concept they were too intense priced for what they were and that i consistently only made my personal, so I knew what he's ingesting.

Has he been checked for allergies. Is/was he formula fed or breast fed. Do you give him whole milk - if so - stop and get him on a soy base formula until he's about 18 months old.
Since the tranditional medical doctors can't seem to find anything have you thought of taking him to a naturopathic doctor for an opinion - its worth a try.

Anything's possible. It could also be that he just has a lower immunity than other babies/people. Don't worry about the dirty looks you've been getting. You're doing the right thing by taking him to the hospital if he's sick.
