Usually its referred to as a MI(myocardial Infarction) in the medical field. Its when one or more coronary arteries are blocked due to Atherosclerosis(idk about the spelling) which is plaque building up in the arterys. In the pre-hospital this is reated with nitroglycerine, which is usually given in the form of a tablet under the tongue. As far as how serious it is, it all depends on which artery is blocked. The worst one to block would be the Left Anterior descending. This artery eventually branches off and provides blood supply for the whole left side of the heart. When this ahppens usually the final treatment is surgically inserting a stint. A stint is a kind of wire tube which keeps the heart vessel open.

Coronary has to do with the heart, and an occlusion is a blockage, so it's some kind of blockage to/from the heart.
