He's had diabetes now for about 20 years, but I'm not certain if that has to do with this problem.

Id say he has a form of Atrial Fibrillation. So he needs to see an Internal Medicine Specialist called Cartiologist. Probably not the high speed heart type, but never the less a form that for sure requires blood thinners to assure he doesnt have a stroke and paralysis. Warafarin is the treatment for such conditions along with a pacemaker if it is very bad. Warafarin is a very inexpensive drug, in fact Walmart offers that as genetic for $4 a months supply. Dont delay, this is serious business.

It could be a lot of things but more than likely he has an arrhythmia (abnormal heart beat). He should see a doctor to be formally diagnosed.

He needs to see his doctor very very soon... like Monday! This could be the start of heart failure, fluid around the heart, or his meds need adjusting.... please talk him into seeing the doc.........
