I used to live in york it is a lovely city there are some vegan places there you will have to look for them though i hope you enjoy your stay as much as i did there is a lot of places near york like leeds ect and as york is largely a student city now there should be plenty of room shares around

York isn't all that big
You will find what you need in the city near to it called Leeds
It's a cool city and 20 minutes on the train
