In primary beta cell dysfunction - the beta cells stop working

Currently this describes most of idiopathic type I diabetes although there is much research now showing that it seems to be due to some sort of autoimmune attack on the beta cells.

In acquired beta cell dysfunction there is something that CAUSES the beta cells to stop working. Like you have taken a selective poison that kills them or something.
