Yes it will because all blood is screened. However if you are worried about STDs it is unethical for you to donate. You should be going to a special clinic for screening!

To add to Dr Frank's comment.
The blood is tested for infections (including syphilis) but there can be a window during which the test results will be negative but blood is potentially infective. Also there is no test known which is absolutely infallible; the rate of false negatives in testing blood for infections is very low but is not zero.
This is why the card they give you at donor sessions stresses you should NOT use blood donation as a way to get yourself checked for STDs. In order to keep the risk to transplant recipients to an abosulte minimum the service relies on donors to be honest about whether they have indulged in at-risk behaviour.
If you are concerned that you may be at risk of syphilis you can find contact details for your local sexual health clinic in Yellow Pages. You do not have to give your real name if you are worried about confidentiality and you do not have to go through your family physician. The sexual health clinica guarantees total privacy and can offer you advice about safe sex and counseling and treatment if you do have a positive result.
Just to reassure anyone who might need a transfusion; the risk associated with any individual transfusion is extremely low - less than the risk of being struck by lightning according to the National Blood Service website.
I trained as a haematology biomedical scientist and have an MSc in clinical oncology.
