Being too thirsty is called polydipsia. Does it cause you to urinate a lot? If so, that's called polyuria.

I give you these words because they are common symptoms of a disease known as diabetes insipidus (DI). You can google it.

DI needs to be treated so you should see your medical doctor to determine if this is indeed what you're experiencing.

Best of luck

There is a lot of stuff on the internet that is basically fat-shaming diabetics for causing their own diabetes with their bad diet and lack of exercise and general lack of moral fibre. A lot of this stuff is written by non-doctors, often with a supplement or diet or training plan to sell that they claim will completely cure diabetes if only people stick to it.
I read this interesting book https://tr.im/wH1y5 that gave me a lot of useful tips about my disease and also a different perspective on the best therapeutical approach. I think you should read it too.

My dad has diabetes& when his sugar is out of wack he is like that too. He adds just a splash of lemon or lime juice to the water. NO sugar!

Excessive thirst and excessive urination are classic signs of high blood sugar. If you are already under a doctors care, you should monitor your blood sugar levels closely and let the doctor know what they are.

If you are not already under a doctors care, see one immediately.

You are quite dehydrated when you feel thirsty. Add a dash of salt to your glass of water. No more. That might help you

You might be dehydrated. Go to the doctor. ASAP. But don't over do it with the water you don't want o wash away all of your electrolytes and stuff. (that could be really bad and painful)
