I work in a prison of nearly 500 men from 18-65 years old and the most common respiratory ailment there is Asthma, we only have less than 5 COPD patients, and 1 lung cancer patient.

Lung disease can be inherented or related to chemical injested into the body. Smoking is the worse of course, but you need to be aware that large amounts of chemical can damaged your lungs as well
