"Fair wage" is not the same everywhere. Some countries are very expensive to live in, some are very inexpensive. By setting a "fair wage" too high in some countries you'd be driving some companies out of business and creating massive unemployment.

its about people from undeveloped countries that have no welfare being explioted by major coprorations and employers. i buy only fair trade coffee, and it tastes a lot nicer than pre packaged stuff. tescos are the biggest culprits on the planet they buy in bulk from really poor countries like chile for lettuces ganbia for tomatoes where in the farmers and pickers get a pittance. it should be a fair wage relative to that countries gross national wage. i am way under-payed and exploited i'm the eejit with a shovel that breaks his back shovelling shi't for others to get rich but i'm way better off than a tea picker from india who has 8 kids to feed.

But since everyone does not have the same concept of your "standard of living" then it would be improbable to initiate.
