CONGRATULATIONS!!!!!!!! for the puppies, they must be adorable. I totally understand how you feel, selling your puppies so soon. However, puppies being sold that young can die, VERY FAST. They need their mom's nutrition (milk) and to be around their mom in a safe enviroment. The youngest I would ever buy a puppy is 8 weeks. They cant wean until 5 or 6, and before you bred your dogs, you should have thought about this. I am NOT trying to be rude in ANY way. PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE do not sell your puppies before 8 weeks, because they can end up retarded and or with behavior issues.
By the way, to all you people who are being rude:
This woman might not know everything about puppies, so you should leave your rude comments to yourself and help her understand the issue in a better way, and give her the benefit of the doubt.

Can I have some details????? Miniature doxies - colors? I am a dachshund freak - I am currently being ruled by a 5 year old black and tan - he's a little chubby and weighs in at 9 pounds. I am not jumping you about breeding dogs -- I just want to tell you that my current doxie was found in rescue. I was so surprised by the number of people who will buy a dachshund and then not understanding the personalities will then dump them at the pound. Yes, they are cute, yes they are small but they have huge bossy little personalities and people need to know they are difficult to housebreak(house will probably be broke before the dog-lol) and you might just as well flush the money for obedience training down the toilet. Now, having said that -- when a dachsie loves you they will die for you. They are soooo loyal and wonderful. My only advice to you is as you sell the puppies make sure the people buying them know that they are not "easy" dogs. And it is amazing the trouble they can cause if you have more than one. My friend (who has 5) came home to find her king size mattress had been "de-stuffed" by the pack of dachshunds-lol. They ain't easy they are wonderful!!! Good Luck to you and I wish I could see them!! -k-

This just makes me sad. If you were a responsible breeder your dogs would have championships and all of your puppies would be spoken for before you ever even bred them. A breeder with multiple bitches whelping is a BIG FAT back yard breeder flag.

Sweetie, if you were a responsible breeder, you'd not be bragging on this forum about puppies. Surely you must know you will be roundly condemned for contributing to the pet overpopulation problem?

Did all your dams and sires (that's mama's and papa's to you) have all their health checks done before even contemplating breeding? Hips, eyes, hearts, thyroids, blood work, etc? Have your dogs been out with other fanciers of your breed and been compared positively to other outstanding examples of your breed?

Do you have 2 weeks to spend 24/7 with the dams and the pups to ensure their continued safety and welfare?

If none of those things are true, you ARE and IRRESPONSBLE, aka, backyard breeder who is contributing to the pet overpopulation problem.

First of all... What is your question?

Secondly, how are you a responsible breeder? A responsible breeder would not call a breeding a mistake...
