Good idea if it would make a difference, unfortunately it is more cost effective to manufacture abroad, It's all about money, sod the people - sad reality I'm afraid.

Yes.

I'm an American and have been boycotting Heinz products for years for political reasons.

I think everyone, Brits, included should boycott the dumb company.

Considering that Heinz is an American company in the first place, why is it such a big deal?

Companies and businesses take there products abroad all the time

Unfortunately it's their perogative to do as they wish

As others have mentioned, HP is an American product really! Do you know who John Kerry is married to? What exactly do you have against the Dutch?

Next you will propose a boycott against "baked beans on toast", since I think the beans are ALL grown in Minnesota, USA...

(Digger....so you think it is somehow wrong that it is people's prerogative to "do as they wish"?...)

HP's brown sauce doesn't even contain British ingredients. Where are dates and tararmind grown? The Middle-East/Asia!

is it gonna change ? is it gonna be the same ?
I just see it as a business decision, lots of companies do the same every year.

Can't see it happening. Look at all the call centre jobs that have been lost in the UK over the last couple of years no one has done a thing about that.
