I have been having this giddiness feeling (shakiness) and chest pain for several days, especially when I take a deep breath. My heart felt like it took a "deep breath" and now I feel it pounding at times. I also have a weakness feeling- no energy! I know they say some people never know that they suffered a heart attack until later down the road with an EKG.
I have had pulmonary embolisms that seem to have similar symptoms.
I have a heart stent with several other blockages, one that can't be repaired due to it's location. My cardiologist told me it will eventually be a heart attack.
Just wondering if any medical professionals on here might have some input to offer. I will definitely be seeing my cardiologist but am curious! I wonder about an arythmyia???
Thanks for any input you may offer!

You have a previous history of occlusive heart disease and pulmonary embolism and have reason to be nervous. Despite this, your description of symptoms is decidedly atypical. I think the major thing I would expect that you did not mention is shortness of breath...substantially increased respiratory effort for minimal activity - you would see this symptom with arrhythmia's, pulmonary embolism, and exacerbation of heart disease.

Regardless, if you are concerned, it is worth your while to be evaluated in the ER. Even if your symptoms didn't read the text books or seem mild - your history of problems is concerning. The ER can do a variety tests and/or admit you overnight to get to the bottom of all of this. If it is nothing, they will be able to determine it. As the saying goes, time is heart muscle; so if you are truly concerned, I am not sure I would wait for speak with your cardiologist next week.

I hope this helps. Good luck.

When people get old and pee pee in the bed they have a heart attack when they wake up . Thats why old people smell like pee pee and have so many heart problems . So my advice is for the elderly to lower their cholesterol and wear depends to bed.
