If either one of you were to give the other one oral sex then you can develop cold sores caused by HSV2. Cold sores are usually caused by HSV1, but can also be caused by HSV2. The same thing applies to genital herpes. Genital herpes is usually caused by HSV2, but can also be caused by HSV1.
I personally have genital herpes and have had it for 6 years. My genital herpes is caused by HSV1, not HSV2. If my fiance were to give me oral sex there is a possibility he can develop cold sores from it caused by HSV1.
My fiance has never contracted HSV1 from me, but that doesn't mean he never will. There is always a chance he can, just like there is a chance you and your husband can spread it. It's up to you if that is a chance you are willing to take. Good luck!

As a rule, it can't happen as your body should already have produced antibodies against it. Think of all the people who have HSV1 orally, which is supposed to be 80% of the population. There's a lot of kissing going on in the world out there and most people don't get reinfected, once they've already got it. The same applies to HSV2 no matter where you have it.
People who can get reinfected are the ones who have severely comprimised immune systems. Most of us are fine.
And another way to possibly get it in new areas is when you are first infected. Your body has not had time to build antibodies against it, therefore other body parts are susceptible to being infected. Once you've had your first outbreak and got over it, your body has then produced enough antibodies to fight off any other exposures.

Once you have HSV-1 OR 2 it never goes away. You always have it. It can just lay dormant once in awhile.
