In Croydon on Purly way there is a great place called Wing Yip, its massive. Im not sure if its jut Chinese though or if they do Japanese as well

Yes Wing Yip in Croydon, a Chinese Supermarket stock Japanese Ingredients too. I bought all my sushi ingredients there.

Waitrose now stock a great selection of japanese cooking stuff .
