Depends on the STD. Syphilis produces chancres, gonorrhoea discharge, chlamydia may produce no symptoms, hepatitis C will produce jaundice after a few years, AIDS will present as atypical infections including Kaposi's sarcoma and so on. This sort of question is not going to help you, because you cannot really make use of the answer!

If you think you are at risk of having picked up an STD you need to go to a clinic for blood and swab tests.

A rash, redness, soreness, pain on peeing, itching or any obvious discomfort. If you think you are at risk visit your STD clinic quickly as the sooner it is treated the sooner it will be cured. Don't forget that if you do have an STD you must tell the person/s you have been intimate with recently as they must be checked out also.

A genital wart is a prime example, if any sudden changes happen on the skin of your genital area or around your anus, maybe you are infected with STD. Diseases like HIV or Hep B will take a few weeks/months to get noticed. Be protected and adopt a healthy lifestyle.

It depends on the STD, some you get no symptoms at all. If your worried you might have something. Go to your GUM clinic and get tested.

depends if u are male or female??? and different sti have different symptoms. common ones to be aware of are discharge, pain when urinating,p.v bleeding(if female),pelvic pain, abdominal pain, nausea, pain and bleeding during intercourse. Any of these signs and u should go to your g.p or local GUM clinic for tests. It's not a lengthy procedure, blood and urine samples wil be taken and perhaps a pelvic exam and swabs(if female) and a history of your sexual activity incase u have indeed contracted an sti. Most are easily cured with a stat dose of antibiotics. Hope this is helpful.

Mmm it night have been better if you told us what symptoms you are suffering.

Anyway, anything that isn't normal, such as spots, red itchy areas or any kind of discharge should be checked.

Some STD's have no obvious symptoms though - so see your doctor if you have put yourself at risk.

Most STD's have no symptoms meaning that most people who have STD's are unaware that they even have one.

Some have no symptoms whereas others do... its safer to go to a GUM clinic than ask questions like these on a website because you'll get really stupid answers.
