I have lived in both places and have had the worst trouble in the mountains. The reason may have been the cold air in the winter months. I have also gotten sick when near the ocean for short periods of time when I was a kid, but now that I live next to it, it doesn't seem to bother me anymore. Everyone reacts differently to different things, so it's hard to say what is best for your little girl. I hope she outgrows her asthma and has a happy and healthy life. :-)

Asthma triggers are different for everyone. You will have to check out each place on your own and see if you a have allergies to that area. Good luck.
