what complications it can pose? is it a threat to life? the kid is quite an active kid... can he face any problems in future and is there any way to rectify this problem?

rarely a child has cardiomegaly--big words for bigger heart. Lots of information on Webmd.

make sure the kid doesn't have hyper-trophic cardio-myopathy, I personally have this disease and I know many ppl who have it. It can be very dangerous for a child to have this and be in coached sports, many kids/ppl with HCM (HOCM) have died from a sudden cardiac death when a abnormal heart rythem called ventricular tachicardia strikes with no warning.
