i have a history of blood pressure. i have been having back pain and my friend told me to ask my doctor for some hydro codone . my question is ,i am on lisinopril for my blood pressure and i need to know if it would mess my heart up to take them when my back is hurting me

You need to ask the Dr that gives you Lisinopril if it is OK to take the Hydrocodone for pain along with your current meds..
Better safe than sorry.

It's probably a good idea to switch to codeine, if the druggist and doctor see no problem in doing so.

The only major side effect of codeine is constipation which is counteracted with prunes.

Some people get drowsy with codeine.

The perfect pain killer is Nurofen Plus with 12 mg of codeine. It is sold over the counter in England. In America we are required to go to our doctors and play a game of "May I?" before we can get the pain killers we need. It's funny no one ever turns this into a political issue.

hydrocodone will lower your blood pressure. If you are already taking medication to lower it, you might want to ask the doctor if it will have too much of an effect. You definitely don't want your blood pressure to dip too low.

In most cases, you'll be fine, as long as you take the correctly prescribed dosage.
