Caffeine is horrible for you. It causes heart palpitations, it increases your heart rate. It's basically a stimulant, a drug really, and even decaf coffee and teas still has caffeine in it.

I had to severely limit caffeine too. It's in Coke and other pops too, but they don't list it.

I feel sorry for you guys in the USA as all the new pops are SUPER charged with caffeine...I think they legally have to put it on the cans there but not here in Canada.

So if you have a heart condition and continue with the caffeine you will make your heart worse and feel worse.

Caffeine is not good and you should learn to replace it with something better for you.

SALT is another very, very bad thing. It increases your blood pressure considerably. You should be on a very low sodium diet as a preventative measure as there is way too much sodium in everyone's diet.

Today's kids are going to be mighty sick adults unless parents intervene and protect them from all the garbage manufacturers shove in foods to make them more appealing.

caffeine is a stimulant. It increases heart rate and can cause constriction of arteries, thereby increasing blood pressure -- all of which increase workload on heart. If there is vasoconstriction in an artery with a fatty deposit in it, then blood flow may be restricted enough to cause an infarction below that point - - - - heart attack.

It's very controversial depending on who's assessment you read! Some say it restricts the blood vessels causing problems while more recent research finds it may be good for you! I think personally they don't have a clue and it's just propaganda to sell to the public like everything else. Medicine is a science and they know very little about anything! What works for one may not do anything for another!
