You should see a doctor immediately. There are alot of things that can cause chest pains, but it could be a sign of heart trouble. I would definately lay off the energy drinks. good luck. Go to the doctor ASAP.

THE POINT WHICH I THINK EVERYBODY HAS MISSED , IS THAT YOUR HEART IS NOT ON THE LEFT SIDE OF YOUR CHEST !
Your heart is in the centre of your chest , behind and above your sternum , and is about the size of your fist , but the base points slightly to the left , from which that particular misconception comes from !

The most likely cause of a pain in that area , I believe , would be pleurisy. This is when your lungs stick to your ribs....and thus breathing becomes painful and your breathing becomes restricted.

I had it years ago......and couldn't walk more than 20 yards / metres ! My Doctor missed the fact that I had it , and I set about getting myself fit......by cycling around a small rectangle some 4 houses wide by 4 houses long. It didn't seem to take as much effort as walking. Soon I cycled 5 miles to my friends butcher's shop......and then back......10 miles all together....as I rode back , I got off my bike to walk up a 100 yard hill......as I walked up the hill , I got the most weird feeling inside my chest......like a soft rubber football bouncing up and down inside my chest. I believe that that was my lungs detaching themselves from my ribs.....and being very elasticy......were actually bouncing up and down inside my chest......very strange.

My Doctor never did diagnose , Pleurisy ,....I found out that I had it , when I had an X ray a year or two later.......when the Radiographer , asked mr when I had , had it !

In my other job, I am a Meat Inspector and check animals out .....many of whom have pleurisy......and it all fitted together , like a jigsaw !

On a more serious note....pleurisy can be caused by abscesses , lungworms , cancers etc .........so this is not a reason to not go to the Doctors......but perhaps a little relief from all the heart attack , stroke and other symptoms everybody is describing to you.......none of whom spotted the error of where you had thought your heart was !

Hopefully , it is only a muscle strain my friend .......but get yourself checked out asap ! Good luck !

When your pain is caused by stress it is because of an over production of acid , which can spill out of your acid protected stomach , and into your unprotected foodpipe (oesophagus).......this pain can be accompanied by a biley taste sometimes in your mouth .......and the pain can be right up the centre of your chest !

Generally a pain in the chest, is a sign that you should see a Doctor.......but it can also be caused by .........yes you guessed it........too many gassy drinks.......filling up your stomach , filled with all that gas , can stop your diaphragm , from helping your lungs to work properly......and so would inhibit your breathing........but would not cause your chest pain..........which COULD be a simple muscle strain..........so it all could be nothing at all......or something , that your Doctor can easily diagnose.........and easily fix !

HOPE IT'S SOMETHING SIMPLE AND EASIBLY FIXABLE FOR YOU ! GOOD LUCK !!!

The symptoms you're experiencing match an existing heart condition. It could be nothing but it's definitely not something you want to wait around to find out about. The shortness of breath is a HUGE red flag. Call your doctor and make an appointment ASAP. To save money, find out if they have an EKG machine in office so you don't have to pay for 2 separate visits to 2 different doctors or facilities.

Yeah--i'm getting that too each and all of the time. that is stress. by technique of stressful lots approximately ailments and your very own wellbeing, you're giving your self psychosomatic fears (so which you think of you have something you do no longer). Take a shower and watch some television and do issues that make you sense particularly comfortable. After a week of this, it would go away, otherwise visit a psychologist and ask for rest meds. do no longer think of roughly undesirable issues and end watching the information!

Do you have pain on any other left side areas? If so it could be a hart attack. You should really get to the hospital if you care to live.I've had chest pains for yrs but, have linked it to reflux disease.
I don't have health ins either but this is something that needs immediate attention. I used my credit card to pay for it. Expect to spend at least 5 grand. Gotta be done!

For many people, energy drinks can cause an increased sensation of one's heart rhythm, as well as feeling a more rapid heartbeat..you should stop drinking them for a few days to see if the pain stops...If it continues or worsens, you should go immediately to the doctor's office to determine if there is a more serious medical condition is being experienced...feel better!

Chest pains, especially if they radiate out into the left arm and shoulder, shortening of breath, tightness, all sound like heart, but if you're under a great deal of stress it could be panic attack too. You can't afford to make a mistake here, though, so I would get it checked.

Chest pain is a medical emergency...You should go to your nearest emergrncy room as soon as possible...or call 911...Age is only a number when you talk of the symptoms that you are having...Please play it safe and have it checked out...I would rather have a hospital bill ( you mentioned that you had no medical insurance) than to be gone and leave my family with the expense of my burial......Play it safe....

If you're certain it's not just muscle pain, see a doctor, particularly a specialist. The shortness of breath is worrisome. And please lay off the highly caffeinated energy drinks. Those can't be good for you.

yes, you should be worried. Something is definetly wrong and it shouldn't be passed as nothing. Usually when you have chect pains, it can be something as simple as gas or a heart valve replacement, and since you can't tell by looking on the outside, go get it checked out.
