It depends when and where this happens, what you've eaten if you smoke, how long you've had it for (could be and infection) etc, there could be many reasons. The best thing you can do is to go and see the doctor as soon as possible to get it checked out. I suffer from wheezes now and again at different times of the day, and its down to asthma.

Wheezing is a whistling musical sound during breathing that results from partially obstructed airways. The cause may be from several things. Disease like asthma or COPD( chronic obstructive pulmonary disease),resp. allergies, a tumor,or foreign body, bacterial infections like bronchitis and pneumonia, and smoking. The "wheezing" is a symptom that something is wrong etc. You may want to see your MD to sort this out. Take care. SW RNP

It sounds as if you are talking about a one off incident, but you have given no past history, also your age, smoking history and the duration of symptoms would have been helpful. In future it might be nice if you put a bit more in your questions.

If your symptoms are significant and you are breathless seek medical help now.

Options are viral infection, allergy or inhaled foreign body, assuming as I say this is a one off. If it is one of several episodes it could be asthma or COPD depending on your age and smoking history.

Sorry not to be able to help further but there just is not enough in the question.

Sounds like a bronchial problem. A natural way to open the lungs up is to go to healthquest.peoplesway.com and look at protec. I have heard of women that have been able to stop using asthma puffers since using this product.

All of the above answers are good possibilities. Could be the beginnings of congestive heart failure as well (Lungs fill up with fluid.) You should see a doctor if it doesn't go away soon, or you really cannot catch your breath.
