I would look into what your mask was made out of. You might be allergic to the material that the mask is made out of. Also, are you diligent about cleaning your mask, tubes, and tanks? Do you use distilled water?
Another thing, I don't know if this would work--have a night and morning ritual of cleaning your face, before and after you use your mask. Such as, use an astringent, like witch hazel, and use a facial lotion (like Oil of Olay, for example) (to help with keeping your skin from becoming too dry, or oily (from becoming dry and overworking your oil glands--thus, clogging skin pores and causing break out.
If these things don't help, I would talk to your general practitioner and a dermatologist. Changing the mask to something smaller might be more of a pain, and hard to keep on your face, but its better than if your break out is due to an allergic reaction.
Good luck!!

Talk to your doctor and advise him/her that you seem to be allergic to the mask. There is a device that will fit just over the nose; he/she may be willing to change your equipment. If not, the the doctor will advise you as to what you can do about the allergy. Good luck.

Try putting baby power on either your face or the inside of mask.. or another thing that is suggested by a good friend of mine is try washing the inside of the mask with warm water and dish detergent..Do Not soak, Just wash it in mild water..

Have you considered trying the nasal pillows? This would be the first thing I would consider. If not then go back to the place that handles your CPap and they should be able to tell you how to take care of this.

You could try wearing a lotion like Mary Kay Velocity before going to bed. You'd have to find a Mary Kay representative to get it. You can go to their website and look up one near you. You should ask the rep for a sample first to see if it works because a whole tube can be expensive. :) It really works on my breakouts though. Good luck! :)

When you got your mask, did they teach you how to clean it? When I got mine, they showed me how to clean it, because they said that the oils from your face stick to it if you don't, and they will cause you to break out.
