Just a question that I've always been curious about since 7th grade Sex Ed. If you have sexual intercouse with someone that has an STD without protection or the protection breaks do you always, 100% recieve that STD from them, or is it just chance you will get it?

Ok lets say HIV, Aids or herpes or something. The most common ones.

No, it isn't anywhere near 100%. Some are more infectious than others - HPV, herpes, and gonorrhea tend to transmit quite well (typically >50% chance), while others transmit very poorly (risk per act of unprotected vaginal intercourse for HIV transmission is between 1/300 to 1/1000, for example). Regardless of what the actual numbers are, its a risk you probably don't want to take, particularly when condoms are so easy to use.

There is always a chance, that's why when your planning to have a sexual encounter with someone I'd make sure it was someone I trusted, and knew hadn't been unsafe with their past sexual partners..
I think the main way people receive sexually transmitted diseases are from one night stands.. I've never done this, nor do I plan to, I've gotten scared for a couple of my close friends after they've told me about one night stands they've had, I don't know how people can do that.. A few minutes of bliss is not worth a short lived lifetime, or having to take a bunch of meds because of it..

Not always, but that's no reason to get careless about safe sex.
It's like hanging around with someone who has any other type of disease - you may get it or you may not, and there are many factors at play with this. It depends on the actual disease, your own level of immunity, the progression of the disease in the other person and the level of exposure you actually get.
If it's just a casual question then take the above as your answer, however if you are nervous about having been exposed to anything then the best person to speak to is your doctor.

It's not 100%, but you stand a higher change of getting the STD than normal.

the chances of you getting the virus are probably meaning they are in your favor but not definite. You have a better chance of getting it verus not getting it but sometimes people are lucky and get by.

It is 100% if you have unprotected sex with someone that is infected..Keep it in your pants especially if you are not sure about the person you may be having sex with..Make sure you wear a raincoat if you have to do it..

There is a small chance you might not get the disease but it is highly unlikely.
