Both my father and my uncle has had heart attacks and my uncle has also had a stroke.
I already try and follow a healthy balanced diet, and now I would like to know what vitamin supplements will be good to take to help?
Also should I incourage my father and uncle to also take supplements?

Go common sense natural, walnuts for the best omega 3 and to clean out your arteries, vitamin C, There is an excellent recipe to lower your cholesterol with niacin, psyllium and lecitine in the book “Your heart, your health”. My friend brought his cholesterol down from over 240 to 176..Breathing slowly and intentional and enjoy your life, very useful. Stress is a bad advisor, drink enough water and avoid fried foods...eat healthy.

Also look into EFT the self help technique that covers it all simple in a one minute sequence.

Odds are pretty good that high cholesterol runs in your family because eating like crap runs in your family. Take the fish oil, also try and avoid saturated fats other than from coconut oil. Don't worry about cholesterol levels in the foods you eat, it has no effect on serum cholesterol. Basically sticking to a reasonably high fiber level would be the other main thing you can do.

Please go to americanheart.org and check out the highlights of the new guidelines to prevent heart disease in women. Vitamin E, C, and other antioxidants are now NOT recommended. Same for folic acid. Omega 3 supplements may help.
