You're having all the symptoms. In my opinion, you need to be seen by a doctor as soon as you can to be on the safe side. This is nothing to play with. Don't wait on this....eventually it could be a decision between life or death. I assure you that I know what I'm talking about. I wish you the best of luck.

There is some sort of rule on this forum that if any person no matter what, asks about chest pain, then at least one person HAS to implore the writer to run to the ER.

It is very difficult to assess symptoms over the internet - and sometimes even face to face and I do it every day.

Let's instead review your risk. Do you have immediate family members who have had heart disease (bro, sis, mom, dad, heart attacks, heart cath, open heart surgery - only) or other abnormalities like having had a blood clot in their lung? Do you smoke? Do you have high cholesterol? Do you have high blood pressure? Are you diabetic? Have you had prior heart disease? In addition to those, consider age too. If you are a woman, you probably would need five out of six of the risk factors to be at any substantial risk if you are under age forty.

Are you having a heart attack? It is very difficult to assess accurately over the internet with a small amount of information, but applying the information above changes the question to "How likely is it that I am having a heart attack?" If you have no risk factors, then the answer is very, very unlikely - but still not entirely impossible. Use your best judgement. If you think there is some possibility get evaluated by a medical professional who can take a history, perform an exam, get an EKG, and take blood...all of which will either rule you in or rule you out for a heart attack.

I hope this helps. Good luck. Be well.

heart attack is the RIGHT side of the arm. Left would be stroke. It is always a good idea to see a Doc with chest pain. But if this was happening before and still is I doubt it is a heart attack or stroke. It could be something wrong with a signal in your brain. Go see a Doctor and they will recommend which specialist to see. Are you having memory loss now after the accident? Could be a concusion too. GL!!!

I had to see a Nuclear heart doctor yesterday for very similar symptoms. I have to go in next week for more test. First there checking for a small blood clot and then 4 hours of other test. You may want to contact your General Practitioner ASAP.Most insurances need a referral.

I would like to add my grandmother died age 36 when my mother was young from a heart attack after a car accident. A blood clot killed her in her sleep. She was having the same pains as you claim to have. (*And similar to mine* this was what my mother and grandfather had told me ofcourse)

good luck

Probably not because you are asking this question right now.

It sounds like you are actually experiencing whiplash from the accident. All of the symptoms that you are talking about are consistient with whiplash.

I would truly go see a doctor if these pains are persistient and as painful as you say they are.

What you are probably experiencing are effects of the car accident but it is worth it just for peace of mind to go to the ER
