Baking Without Eggs

Whether or not you choose a vegetarian diet, eliminating eggs is a smart idea for health reasons.

There are many options when you have a recipe requiring eggs. For convenience, you can purchase a pre-made egg substitute like Ener-G Egg Replacer or you can try of few of the options below.

To Substitute for 1 egg:
*1/4 cup applesauce
*2 ounces of silken tofu
*1 t (chick pea) or soya flour and 1 t water
*1 t arrowroot, 1 t soya flour and 2 t water
*2 t flour, 1/2 t shortening, 1/2 t baking powder and 2 t water
*1/2 large banana, mashed

I personally recommend Ener-G egg replacer because it is handu and easy. You can just take any cookie recipe you like and add the egg replacer. There are also plenty of egg free recipes on the net. Just google the vegan cookie recipes or egg free cookies on allrecipes.com...

There are some great recipes for eggless biscuits and cookies here: http://www.parsleysoup.co.uk/list.php?category=biscuits

It seems with most recipes, as long as you can make the dough sticky enough without adding egg it doesn't need egg.

Happy cooking :)

Use half of a banana or a half cup of soymilk to replace each egg. There are also egg substitutes you can buy.

sorry the only alternative would be using Better Eggs or white in baking you need that kind of protein for better results.
