I've heard this too. Diabetics have reduces circulation, therefore reduced sensation in their extremities. An EB could get so hot, the user wouldn't feel it, and damage to the legs and feet could occur.

BTW, no one should ever use an EB or heating pad along with Ben-Gay or similar. The numbing action can prevent feeling and burns can occur. It has happened.

,I understood that the blanket caused blood to surface to the skin and would allow intensive bruising. I would think that the heat control on the blanket would eliminate burning, but not sure. It would be better to ask your Doctor or call the Emergency room and ask. If it feels good do it, but make sure you confer with your Doctor or Care giver, and that includes evil s.

Most of them can actually, but some diabetics get Hypoglacemia if they get very hot.

It's probably because mot of us have nurophy(?)and couldn't feel if it was burning our feet or lega mostly. I hope this helps you. But if I were you I would ask my doctor to be sure why.
