My husband takes these two and always complains of being tired and achy. He says he doesn't sleep well and I have noticed his feet swelling every day. He is currently exercising/eating healthier to try and get off of one or both.

I was on 1000 mg of metformin every day. I eventually was taken off of it since it wasn't doing any good. Through out the whole time that I took metformin I was constantly bloated, had gas, and when I ate a meal, within no time I had diarrhea

Had to stop taking Metformin. Caused lots of problems.

I hate it. A lot. I'm taking two 500 mg pills of metformin per day, one in the morning and one at night.
It makes me naueaus, I almost can't even keep the meds down.
Then I get heartburn, nausea even worse, then cramps and gas..
And then I have to potty like mad for two hours.
Every time I take one.
I've been on them for two months and these symptoms still haven't gone away. :(
My body may just not like this medication. It happens.

I know what your on about buy a sailing dinghy powered by yourself there is a slow release metformin tablet that releives this problem

I take metformin 500mg twice a day.If I stray far from my diet I get severe diarrhea.
