have you noticed that there is room for another pop tart in the box? what a rip off... either give me the tasty pastry... or make the damn box smaller... i could care less if they get a little smushed.

I think the real question is... why are you eating Pop-Tarts when Toaster Strudel is so much better?
... but really, it's probably a brilliant ploy by the government to get you to go grocery shopping at least once a week. If they came five to a box, come Thursday you wouldn't think "Dang, I gotta go to the store and get more Pop-Tarts..." because you'd have a tasty Pop-Tart waiting for you the next day. And you'd be way too hung over to get them on Saturday morning. They're really just looking out for you, making sure you're all good to go buy more when you run out.
It probably also has to do with traffic control. I mean, the roads area already super busy on the weekends with folks trying to do their weekend thing, like go the mall and clog dancing lessons. Can you imagine if everyone was going to the grocery store on the weekend to get Pop-Tarts because they ran out of them on Friday morning? It'd be CHAOS!!!
But really, that's all speculation. What I do know is... it's not a good idea to eat a Pop-Tart in the shower.
...I mean, I've never really confirmed that either, but you can imagine the outcome....

I am proud to say I have never eaten a pop tart in my whole life so far and nobody can make me.
But it sounds like you're as passionate 'bout the tarts the same way I am 'bout the double cheeseburgers, so carry on, poptart dude!

I think the room is in there so they dont' get easily crushed. If they were jam-up in there, they'd be broken by the time you got them home.
