I had this for ages and then met someone who had had the same thing (I was 19 and he was about 50 so I don't think this is age related) - he had changed brands of insulin and it really helped - I did the same thing and I am still a little shakey at times but people don't slag me off for it or ask if I'm ok etc. any more so it's definitely a lot better. I'm not saying this is your friends problem but if she's had other tests (I had heaps but none showed anything up) maybe it's worth a try. The man I met and I both changed from Humalog to Novorapid - we're both British - I don't know the equivalant brand names in Australia, but they should be roughly the same, anyway doing something similar might work. Hope she's feeling better soon - good luck xx

Well it all depends how she shakes...is it at the rest or all the time...it can say a lot about the possible problem. My guess from little details that you gave, would be Essential Tremors. It runs in the family and has not certain age when it appears...Does she has anyone in the family with the shaking problem?
Read on net about it and compare...
If you need somebody to talk to feel free to send me an email

It sounds like parkinsons disease. Or too much caffine, nerve damadge. It could be alot of things but the person with the real answer is her doctor ! It probably wont be diabetes but we cant say for sure. The best you can do Is advise her on what to do and stick with her and help her through hard times.

Very low or very high blood sugar will cause tremors.
Also, coldness, muscle spasms from fatigued muscles, nerve damage, Parkinson's disease, stress, caffine,
stroke, seizure disorder, anxiety. Any number of things can cause tremors in the hands/body.
It could be any number of reasons. This question is under Diabetes, if your friend is diabetic she should tell her doctor about this ASAP! And even if she isn't she should still see a doctor.

If she drinks too much caffeine or is on certain medication, that could cause it. However, Parkinson's Disease is also a cause, but she needs to go to the doctor to get evaluated either way.
