okay, so me and my gf are both 17, but we want to get tested for stds as all young couples should.. but i am so freaking freaked out of the test results man... my mom has hep c, my brother has herpes. i mean like i dont liek the lifestyle they did though, i am not into drugs, i've only had sex with one girl that was protected, i did recieve oral sex once but that was 3 years ago, woudlnt i see symtoms of that now? so what do you all think, you think its likely i have something? i mean i do get these like sores but they are on the inside of my mouth i asked my dentist he said they are just a cancor sore, so, i guess thats not much to worry about. so what do you guys think think i may have something, and if i do i asked my gf waht she would do, shes like "i'd die"....

Relationships are based on trust...I would work on that first prior to testing because the tests are riddled with errors sometimes and it can embarass people and ruin relationships.
Trust each other and be honest is a better approach...

The only way you will know is if you get tested. I know that its scary but if you go to a doctor or clinic where you feel comfortable it will make it easier. Everyone feels scared of having some disease but if you do have something its better to know what it is and find out how you can cure it. Talk to peer counselors at your school (if you have any) or go online and find groups that are in your area that can help you overcome your fears.

If what you say is true, then i think your test should come out negative. You are very smart though for doing the right thing and getting tested. Good luck and always wear a condom! But if you really dont want to catch anything then simply dont have sex period, that is the safest way!

just go for it im sure your clean.
only the results will tell for sure though. Don't fret young child getting tested is not as scary as it sounds, I once had sex with a gay guy and I was certain the results would come out with something but they didn't.

If you haven't had irreponsible sexual contact, or accidental contact with someone else's bodily fluids or diseased tissue, you are probably fine.

Go ahead and get tested--buy yourself some peace of mind.

Highly unlikely that you have anything. Continue with protected sex. You do have to be careful with oral sex also, as you can contact syphilis that way also.
