I am new to being vegan and I am just wanting some things and tips. Some things I would like to know are what kind of weird long-named ingredients have animal products in them or not. Another question of mine is how do I find a vegan shopping list that's practically done for me... if you don't know of any then could you give me some tips on things to buy? Vegan recipes would be great too!!

I know that in PETA's shopping guide there is a list of animal based additives commonly found in foods. If you want to buy the book, here's the link: http://www.petacatalog.org/prodinfo.asp?number=BK2007.

Also, you might want to check out http://www.vegcooking.com/index.asp and http://www.goveg.com/veganism.asp.

Good luck!

On list of foods you'll do best by getting things at a health food section of your grocery or a health food store. Otherwise stick to what you know fresh veggies & fruits do not have animal products in them. Your educstion takes time.

Any health food store will carry all sorts of vegan stuff. I've even seen some of it in big chain stores. There is a brand called Amy's that does veggie and vegan frozen dinners.

Good luck
