The only STI that will show up on your pap smear is HPV. And that's not all types of HPV. Herpes, genital warts, etc will not show up on your pap, and leave a little bump on your labia. It could however be nothing... could be an ingrown hair. If you put a little bit of white vinegar on it and it turns white, then it is a wart for sure.
If you are concerned see your doctor.

no when you get a pap smear you have to ask for cultures and a blood test to find your stds. But ill tell you right not that a bump could be anything maybe a shaving bumps,a skin tag whatever. go back to the docotor for a blood test.

YES! As a matter of fact, my sister's last pap smear said that everything was perfectly fine, and 9 months later (no sexual contact in between) she developed genital warts (HPV). What does the bump look like? There is a small smooth bump that can develop i believe it is called Actinic Keritinosis (spelling?) cysts. They are harmless. You should have your bump looked at and point it out to your physician to make sure. Good luck!

she's right HPV is the only one that will show up. you have to request and STD test from your OB/GYN. if it's one little bump it could just be an infected hair. But i still strongly recommend being seen if it doesn't go away in a few days. Until you get tested and actually know what it is...it could be anything. I know I went to the doctor for some bumps taht weren't supposed to be there thank god it was only an allergic reaction! but it's super scary when something shows up that isn't supposed to be there! so get checked and I'm sure it is nothing serious!

my gyn told me that the only std that a pap will show is hpv (hpv causes warts and cervical cancer). the pap test is designed to find abnormal cells that could cause cervical cancer, and hpv causes these cell changes most of the time.
some STDs require their own test, and some are in your blood and you need a blood test for those.
your bump could be nothing. if you're worried about STDs, get checked out by your doctor.

A pap smear is a test for cervical cancer. It doesn't really test for other things. You'd better go back to the gynecologist.

Pap smears checks for abnormal cell growth on your cervix. I do not think it checks for STD's.
