I have been having chest pains for a week now, along with these pains I have been dizzy, and not hungry. All of this started 1 week ago and I have had a constant ache in my chest right above where my left rib cage stops I have also had a constant feeling of being lightheaded since the chest pains started. The first day after the pains started I went to the er and had an ekg, x-ray, and a troponin blood test. All the tests came back completely normal. I was sent home and was told to see my regular doctor a few days later if the problems persisted. Well they did and I went to a regular doctor who said that my symptoms don't sound like any one disease and who took two more blood samples (thyroid and electrolytes) which I don't know the results of yet. My question is should I be worried and go back to the ER, its now been 7 full days and I am still experiencing constant dull chest pains and dizziness. I am a 21 year old male.

Try taking potassium, you may be lacking. I was experiencing the same symptoms and thats what my MD put me on to stop it. Wouldnt hurt to get tested for hpailoi. Its a bacteria. If a good MD knows what to look for it can be found in your bloodtest. Its not an STD, just a bacteria and nontransferrable but will contribute to ulcers. Be careful.

Serious heart conditions may not show up on those tests a few percent of the time. It isn't common but sometimes problems will only show up on a close examination of an echocardiogram. If the problem isn't constant it might require a holter monitor to catch. And it might not even be a heart condition.

do not take potassium supplement unless the md tells you that you are low!! taking potassium when you are have a normal k+ could cause tachycardia which could lead to serious problems. wait for your results. it could be a viral syndrome that has to run its course.
