Don´t do it becuase u think it´s cool it´s a desciion that will change your life maybe for the better. You should put these two factors on a balance better more good tasting food or Healthy life enlonging ones. Im not saying that there aren´t good-tasting vegetarian foods but it is undeniable that being vegetarian limits your food options. In addition thogh I am not vehetarian i do have a vegetarian friend who has become disgusted with even seeing any meat products. I recomend that if u do decide to become vegetarian you should try to avoid this small annoyance that can become quite irritating to yourself and to those arround you.

A vegetarian diet can be very healthy, but it has to be balanced. Since you aren't getting protein from meat, you have to make sure to eat something like beans or tofu. Or eggs, unless you are going totally vegan. It takes a lot of effort, and can make shopping and eating out a bit tricky. If thats what you want to do, go for it. Maybe just give it a month and see how you like it and see how you feel...

Being vegetarian isn't something to do because it sounds cool. I stopped eating meat for health reasons 10 years ago. It has been difficult to rearrange my thinking about food and food choices. Educate yourself about your body and it's nutritional needs before you jump in. If your not smart you could do irreversible damage to your metabolism, muscle mass and brain function. Not eating meat may not be considered vegetation by some, I still eat fish products and a small amount of dairy but, it does open one up to better eating and overall health and that should be your motivator. Good luck

It's a hard transition for some...consider these factors
Jello or gelatin products (made from cow hoofs)
Gummi Bears (gelitin same w/ marshmallows)
French Fries from most restaurants (any fried foods for that reason most fried in animal fats but you can ask)
And there's so much more to being a full vegan...breads have eggs, dairy products etc.
I am a vegan and I love it, it keeps unwanted weight off of me and keeps me healthier all the way around. Once you stop the meat thing....your stomach's digestive acids quit making the one's to break meats down...but thats is something after long term.....do some research and see if it's for you!

There are a lot of healthy choices being vegetarian. I keep kosher at home and eat vegetarian out side. I like it. Meat sometimes gives me constipation, so I like to balance with soy, lentils, fish, eggs.
I don't eat dairy products though nor do I drink milk, makes it easier to keep a parve kitchen. (Eliminates the religious restriction of mixing milk and meat. :->)
Hopes this helps.
Good Luck !!

you should have reasons for doing it other than "its cool". it is a lot healthier to eat smart. if you think that includes vegetarianism go for it. i limit my meat intake to 6-8 ozs a day -- thats small portions by most peoples standards but provides enough protein. when you start thinking about what you are eating you will eat smarter.

I know it's healthier to avoid meat but if you do be sure to substitute that lifestyle with high protein foods like nuts, avacados, tofu, etc.
