Yes, 100% it will go away at some point. Some people do it on their own, some need treatment, some need more treatment than others.
New 06' statistics say that 88% of the population has, or has had it at one point in their lifes, and about 80-90% of people will clear the virus out in 6-12months.
It is treatable, and although it is a viral infection your body can fight it off. The common cold is a virus too, and the body gets rid of that.
It can casue cervical cancer in women, but it is rare. Most of the time it isn't a concern to health, just a mental health thing from having little dots all over your goods.
A vaccine for women just came out and protects against 4 strains that make up 70% of all HPV cases. 2 strains cervical cancer, 2 strains warts.
Hope I've helped.

HPV can go away on its own, but there are many strains of the virus that you could contract after the initial virus clearing up. In some cases, HPV never goes away.

Well its all different in women. Some women contract the virus and it clears away on its own, however some women contract the virus and it flares and may even lead to cervical cancer. If you are still worried about catching the HPV trying getting the new vaccination.

Yes sometimes the virus does clear up on it's own. There many different strains of the virus. The ones that cause warts usually do not cause cervical cancer. The strains that do not cause warts are high risk for cervical cancer. With regular pap smears changes in the cervix can be detected early before the cancer develops. Hope this helps.
