ok this is the fourth time in 2 yrs that my right lung has suddenly started hurting, to the point that it hurts alot to breathe. any ideas as to why this is happening? it usually lasts about 3 days and goes away slowly.

See a doctor to start with. Or, if you are like me and don't have insurance, you just hope for a quick death.
Seriously, it may not be actually your lung. Sound like you pulled a muscle in your chest wall. I do that sometimes. It also may be a pinched nerve in your back and the pain radiates around the right side of your chest. So, it's kind of like when you fall asleep in a chair and have a stiff neck for a few days.

It could be caused from your gallbladder.Or from Fibromyalgia or any kind of lung disorders. The only sure way of finding out is to see a doctor.Sorry that you are having these kind of problems. I truely know how it is, becaues I have all of the above. Except gallbladder.

could be a lot of things.. like a infection.. or u could have pulled a muscle in your chest, and you keep aggregating it.. go see the doctor.. its something you need to know.
