Lions and Hyenas are not very similar at all. Different Genus, Phyllum and Order. Same Kingdom though!

They are very near alike.

Both live in the same range area.

Both scavenge and hunt, though i suppose lions scavenge slightly less. Hyenas will sucessfully challenge lions for their kill and vice versa. Perhaps crocdiles and vultures are the only other animals to claim a lion's or hyena's meal.

Both live in groups. A dominate female heads the hyena pack and a dominate male heads a lion pride.

Lions are more like cats and hyenas resemble dogs or wolves more, though they certainly are catlike as well.

its all part of nature, they have their roles to play as predators, scavengers, its all by the grand design of God
