A couple of years ago I was diagnosed with high blood pressure, and put on Zestoretic, which brought it nicely down to usually in the 110-120 / 70-80 range. I've lost about 28 lbs since then.

I just checked my BP again, and it had a reading of 103 / 68.

Should I alert my doctor if I get more readings like this, so he can adjust the medication? Or are readings like that perfectly OK?

congrats on the weightloss!
if you are still on the same dosage of meds (that you were when you weighed more) you will need to tell the doctor...he may need to reduce the dosage due to the weight loss..

definitely talk with your doctor ASAP. If I needed to lower my blood pressure I'd just lose weight, slow down on drinking liquids, and halt the caffeine. So now that you've lost your weight maybe you don't need the pills anymore. But BP too low could cause a coma, so see your doctor quickly. Don't stop taking the pills quickly, but the doc might want to reduce the dosage until you can get off of them safely.

You have a normal blood pressure. 120/80 is a healthy blood pressure.

reading like that are GREAT if you feel okay. If you start to feel light headed or dizzy when you stand up you may be on to high a dose now. Talk to your doctor either way what can it hurt..

yeah you might want to alert him, its not dangerous to have your blood pressure where its at (dont take my word for it though i dont want any liability) but pending on how high your dose is it might be low enough that he may have you stop the meds completely. good job though, most people dont make enough effort on lifestyle changes to lower it enough that they should ever be off the meds

I would simply call and tell them if you feel it's a problem. That reading sounds pretty good to me.
