Drink plenty of fluids, rest as much as possible, increase vitamin C intake (Orange Juice, etc). That's about all you can do! Hope you're better soon!

An old Jewish recipe

In a saute pan add 1 tbsp olive oil, 1 minced garlic clove, 1 chopped chile pepper. Cook on low heat until the galic turns very light brown.

Remove from the stove, add contents to some chicken noodle soup add a pinch of ginger and heat to serving temperature.

About 1/2 cup at a time will keep your head clear for 3 or 4 hours

Zinc lozenges (which you can buy in drug stores) have been shown (in some studies) to help reduce the duration of a cold by about a day or so. They taste horrible, but having a cold really sucks so it might be worth it!

Chicken soup is also good for a cold (it's not just an old wives' tale!), so stock up on soup, tissues, zinc lozenges, and Nyquil and you should be all set! Hang in there!

When you have a cold, drink hot tea, hot chocolate, hot ramen noodles, or chicken noodle soup.
I personally think Nyquil works miracles over nite when you have a cold. Turn on your humidifier next to your bed. Take a hot shower to unclog your nose and stuff yourself under a couple of warm cozy blankets. Turn the heat up in your home and feel all comfy. Put on your cozy jammies and watch TV.
This always works for me. Hope you feel better tommorrow.

i am an expert on the common cold because i had so many of them when i was younger.there is nothing you can do to get rid of it . your body has to do it on its own . just get a rest . drink lots of fluids . an aspirin or tylenol helps if you have to go to work. and get lots of sleep . it will go away in a couple of days guaranteed.

Echinacia (sp), lots of vitamin C (juice, fresh fruit), lots of water and gatorade (you want to keep your electrolites up so that you don't dehydrate), chicken soup, warm baths (using a bath salt will sometimes help), vicks vapor rub and wall plug-ins, sleep. Hope some of these help and get feeling better :)
