Palpitations that produce no symptoms are normal but your circumstance sounds different. The heart beats 100 000 or so times a day and even if 99% perfect this implies 1000 or more 'abnormal' heart beats daily which may be noticed and referred to as palpitations. In your case however it sounds as if your palpitations are associated with a change in the heart beat itself and that this is producing symptoms. I am very sensitive to the cost of medical care which is why I donate my services on line johnerussomd@jhu.edu but in your situation I would strongly advice that you seek medical advice as symptomatic palpitaions are associated with sudden death. Call you County Health Department and County Medical Society as they should be able to assist you in locating a free or indigent care clinic. I pray that your evaluation does not identify a problem.

Palpation Of Heart

2016-10-02 21:55:28 · answer #2 · answered by eget 4 · 0 0

Everyone gets palpitations at some time or other. Sometimes when we are tired or if we've had a stimulant such as coffee. Think of your heart as an engine which has to regulate itself from time to time. We all know that our hearts speed up when we exercise and slow down when we are at rest. The time to worry is if you go giddy at the same time you experience palpitations or have any chest, neck or arm pains. Make an appointment to see your Doctor for a blood pressure check and for reassurance.

Caffeine and other stimulant can certainly make you more prone to palpitations. Have your thyroid levels checked as well. Palpitations are dangerous if they are prolonged or produce chest pain. There are methods to halt the palpitations once they begin that you can do at home, but they are difficult to demonstrate in this forum. You may need to bite the bullet, cough up a little cash and see a physician.

avoid marg, butter, mayo, fried foods, canola, passive smoking & chlorine water
eat sunflower seeds, avocados, green tea, red chilli, cayenne pepper, blueberries, supergreens - spirulina, barley grass, wheat grass& kelp. Olive leaf extract is also excellent
also avoid yeast bread, animals and their parasites, chemical shampoos, detergents, deoderants, hair colors
do a pH test on yourself to make sure the urine and saliva is not acid, eat more greens and fresh raw if things are acid
