This is most definitely NOT NORMAL. Blood pressure and pulse fluctuate during the day by as much as 30 to 50 points for both blood pressure and pulse BUT within 1/2 of awakening you should record your LOWEST values of the day with goals of about 110/060 for blood pressure and 70 or lower for pulse. Please record your readings and take them to the physician.

As a rough guide blood pressure should be 100 plus half a person's age. People normally have a higher reading than this though, which is quite normal. Your heart rate seems to be a little high at 100 and 103. I personally think you are not getting the correct readings for some reason. The best thing to do is make an appointment to see the nurse at your Doctor's surgery, and get your bp checked by an expert.

Well, I cannot help you too much. When I've been at the doctor's or at the hospital, They automaticly put me on an EKG when my pulse was over 100. It's apparently some kind of threshold.

From my experience, my doctors didn't pay much attention to my home bloodpressure readings. You can take them but it's best if they pick up the wiered numbers themselves. Or if you can get a nurse to take them and tell them it was a nurse......

You need to get checked out.

Did anything happen in between? Having a large bowel movement can lower the BP. Then, you may have had a stressful dream.
