7.5 is a very good number and can be difficult to achieve. be proud of yourself. One of the reasons diabetics develop awful complications is because they don't bother to maintain a good A1C. As the last person that answered you said: try to get it below 7 if you can. It will reduce your risk of complications even more. I read that for every .25 (one quarter of a point) decrease in the A1C level, there is a 40% decrease in complications.
In regards to losing muscle mass. That happens naturally as we age, but we can control it with exercise and minimal weight training. Even lifting 8 pounds for 15 minutes 3X weekly will help prevent muscle mass deterioration-of course the rest of the body needs toning also, Walking , biking, stairs- every single thing we do helps.
Our muscles absorb the glucose in our bodies so the more muscle we have the easier it is to keep blood sugars in normal range. An intense well planned exercise regimen can actually cut insulin in half or eliminate it altogether,
A good workout will lower blood sugars for 24 hours so adjust your meds accordingly. It takes some practice for sure but it worth it as we are able to SAVE OUR OWN LIVES. cool.
A massive research study out just this week said minimal exercise can actually REVERSE bone density decrease.

I am writing to tell you what an incredible impact these methods had on my life! I have had type 2 diabetes for 27 years. For me, the worst part of this horrible disease is the severe pain I constantly get in my feet. The pain is so bad that I avoid standing and walking as much as possible. I've got to tell you that within the first month, my feet stopped hurting altogether and I can now walk totally pain free.

Believe it or not, I even danced at my niece's wedding last month, something I have not done in a many years. I've been following the book for six months now and my blood sugar is well within normal range. I feel great!

I recommend you use the Type 2 Diabetes Destroyer to naturally reverse your diabetes.

Blood sugar test ? This is just another name for a blood glucose test the same test that your blood glucose monitor tests. Typical results would be 80-120mg/dl. I think what you mean is the A1C which is a test that shows you a snap shot of your blood glucose over a 120 day period. On this test you want to be below 6.5 or 7.0 depending on which guidelines your Dr. is following. I hope this helps

Yes you absolutely can when your glucose is to high the cells starve so they will break down your muscles to get the energy they need to survive...if you let this go on to long you can cause serious damage..every time your muscles are being broken down they are releasing ketones if left untreated that can lead to ketoacidosis which can cause death so be sure to get glucose levels under control,,,it would take a while for you to get to the point of ketoacidosis but just wanted to tell you what can happen if you let your levels get out of control and don't take care of yourself...

The goal for A1C is 7.0% according to the ADA and 6.5% according to the AACE but in fact everyone accepts that the goal should be as low as possible (goal 6.0%) without causing too much hypoglycemia. Losing weight is likely good but NO you should NOT be losing muscle mass and if your weight loss is due to muscle not fat then you must bring this to the attention of your physician. Do not be shy - a good physician is always happy for the help - and most of us need you help. Good luck.
